Sue was someone who made all the difference in my success as a student. Her encouragement and praise kept me going. I am very sorry for her loss as she was a standout person.
Very sad to hear of the passing of Sue. My sympathies to the entire family and I'm praying for God to give you peace at this time and to help you with your pain and loss. Always remember Sue as the wonderful, loving, caring and compassionate person she was and feel blessed that God gave us all such a blessing to have shared life with her.
Words cannot express the full impact Sue had in everyone's lives. Ever the cheerleader and supporting mentor, Sue touched the Baker students, faculty, and staff with her passion for learning, her wisdom, and her work ethic. She truly loved life- family, friends, and colleagues. I know she would want us to continue serving students with the same determination and dedication that she had. I was blessed to have her in my life and am a better person personally and professionally because of her support and encouragement. To Sue's family, may you find peace in this difficult time.

Please accept my condolences for your loss. Sue continually represented the needs of her students as well as championed their educational outcomes. Her enthusiasm for the classroom became contagious countless times. She will be greatly missed.
There are no words to describe how dearly you will be missed by me and all of your students and colleagues at Baker College, Sue. The lives of your "family"--at home and at work--have been made better by the influence of your life upon each of us. Gene and family, thank you for sharing Sue with all of us.
- From the heart, Dr. DeAnna Burt-Johnson, Vice President of Academic Affairs for Baker College of Muskegon
My deepest sympathies. I worked with Sue many times over the years. Even though I worked at the Jackson campus, Sue was one of my mentors. She was so knowledgeable, kind and always willing to help. She will be greatly missed.
Wishing your family the gift of beautiful memories. Sue touched so many lives in the most positive and caring way. She is a very large part of who I am today. Without her knowledge and unwavering support I would not be blessed to be the nurse I am today. Peace be with you, Sue. May your family know how many people you inspired with your true kindness and wisdom.
Gene & Family, so sorry to hear of Sue's passing. We've lost a dear Big Red. Our deepest sympathies to you all, Debbie (Seifert) VanderWier and Jim Lowry.
Please accept my deepest condolences. I worked with Sue on many Baker projects. The world has lost her body but know that her legacy is in all of the students who she passed her wisdom on to. Her sense of humor and joy for life will be missed.
