Thomas G. Bruining's Obituary
Mr. Thomas G. Bruining, age 62, passed away on June 17, 2013. He was born on September 29, 1950 to Gerald and Shirley (Ferm) Bruining in Muskegon. Tom graduated from Mona Shores High School. He enjoyed blues music, fishing, lighthouses, birds, the solar system and was an avid U of M football fan. Tom was a skilled sheet metal worker and worked at several shops. He then went on to work at Brunswick until 2008 in the research and development department. Tom was also past secretary of the Muskegon Recreation Club and was in charge of the Club’s Tattler Newsletter. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Nicole (Dave) Tomczak, Ron Bruining and Bobby Bruining; father, Gerald Bruining; 2 brothers, Stephen (Karen) Bruining and Daniel (Kerstie) Bruining; sister, Ann (Raymond) Martinez; many nieces and nephews; great-niece and cat, Mouser . Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley in 2010. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 22, 2013 at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Rev. Lynn DeMoss officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6 – 8 PM on Friday. MEMORIALS Pound Buddies (1300 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442) would be appreciated.
