Aunt Tootse, Pat, Georgie, Tommy & family -
We were so sorry to hear of Uncle Tom's passing, but take comfort in knowing that he is in a much better place. I thank God that he did not suffer any longer than necessary.
In looking back through the pages of my memories, they all seem to take me to T 'n T Lodge. It seems many a great family gathering took place there - what wonderful times they were! Of course, they range from the use of the outhouse when we were wet from swimming to the 'job' of pulling weeds out of the swimming area before we could swim. But I have to say that the one memory that I think is the best (if I had to choose only one) was that of Uncle Tom totally exhausting himself whenever any of us 'kids' wanted to be pulled on the big swing. It seems that once one of us decided it was time to swing, we all waited in line. Of course, he was right there when we were ready to be pulled again - over, and over and over.
My kids, too, have a special memory to share. When we lived in town and came over to visit, they were so taken by Uncle Tom's ability to play Bop It. Matt was so determined to be as good as Uncle Tom was that he asked for - and received - one of his own for Christmas that year. There was even one in the waiting room at the hematologist's office today - and yes, Matt was playing it!
We're so sorry that we won't be able to make it for the service and to see everyone, but as you know, our recent travels have taken us to Massachusetts. Know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers, and may you find comfort in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
All our love,
Russ, Gail, Alex, Matt & Miranda##imported-begin##Russ & Gail Fatum & Family##imported-end##
