Timothy J. Luker's Obituary
Mr. Timothy J. Luker, age 48, went to be with his Lord, Saturday, May 21, 2005, following almost a year long battle with cancer. He was born July 16, 1956 in Muskegon to Chester “Marshall” & B. Ruth Luker; and had been a life resident of the area. Tim was President of Muskegon Awning & Mfg. Co. where he had worked with his family the past 35 years. He was a member of Resurrection Life Church of Grand Haven, and had formerly served on Board of Directors of Calvary Christian School. Tim had a passion for fishing and enjoyed hunting as well. He was involved in several Bass fishing tournaments. On August 9, 1975 he married the former Darcy Lawrence and she survives him along with 4 children, Shane Luker and friend Heather Swiatek, Josiah, Jacob and Rylee Luker; his mother, B. Ruth Luker and his sister, Sue (Gordie) Moen, all of Muskegon; and by his brother, Mike (Diane) Luker of Holton; his mother and father-in-law, Shirley & Ken Lawrence of Grand Haven; 1 brother-in-law, Mitchell Lawrence of KY; 1 sister-in-law, Karla (Jim) Underwood of OH and by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Marshall, in 1995. SERVICES will be 11 AM Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at Resurrection Life Church of Grand Haven (12900 US 31) with his friend and Pastor, Bernie Groendyke, officiating. VISITATION with Tim’s family will be 2-4 & 6-8PM Monday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc,. 737 Apple Avenue 231-726-5210. MEMORIAL GIFTS to Hackley V.N.S. Hospice House will be appreciated.
