Dear Family and friends of Vera,
She was a wonderful matriarch of the extended Sutton family. We know she will be greatly missed. We pray for God's peace to surround you and comfort you. We will miss her so much in our quilting group. She did beautiful work, especially the wedding gown quilt she made for a granddaughter(?). She was always so gentle and always had cookies for anyone who came to see her. As our neighbor, she will be missed. She gave us many strawberries and pickles and fruits of her garden that we did not grow ourselves.
Our sympathies to the extented and extensive family of Vera. May she and Chuck have a wonderful reunion.

It saddens me deeply to hear of Vera's passing. I have many memories of when I would visit the homestead. Many times, more than I can count we would sit around the kitchen table having coffee (sometimes 2 or 3 pots) talking about life issues and having at least a dozen homemade cookies and many times she would invite me to stay for supper. Vera always treated me like one of her own and always made sure I was cared for when I needed it most, this I never forgot and will always remember how much fun I had hanging out with Chuck and Vera. Vera was the most loving and caring person I've ever known. My deepest condolences to the Sutton family, grandchildren, relatives and friends. I pray the lord will bring you all peace and comfort through these sad times.

Aunt Vera was a gentle quiet soul. I remember the times in my childhood my parent's would take us to visit. Our parents would visit together and we kids would usually be outside playing. The last time my husband and I visited Vera we were able to pick blueberries with her. She picked much faster and got the best ones for us to bring home to Florida 🙏🙏🙏

We want the family to know we are thinking of and praying for the Lord to comfort the families affected by the death of Vera Sutton.
I learned how to sew from Aunt Vera as a child and then my children learned how to sew as children from Aunt Vera. We are thankful for that as well as the times in the blueberries.
She took needles out of my foot, babysat my children when I was a single parent, employed my children in the blueberries, and always welcomed us at her home with all eight children when many would not. She was a stable person in our lives. Thank you Aunt Vera. We love you. From the Ella Thomas Soelberg Purkiss family.
