Vernon L. Mustard's Obituary
Vernon L. Mustard, age 83, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 15, 2019. He was born February 7, 1936 to Cecil & Eva Mustard in Muskegon, MI. He graduated from Muskegon High School in 1954 and graduated from Muskegon Community College with an associate’s degree. On April 19, 1958, he married Jean (White) in Muskegon, MI. He spent over 60 years as an insurance agent in Muskegon and built many friendships and life-long bonds with his clients. Vern was very active professionally and in his community. He served as President of the Kiwanis Club, March of Dimes, Lake Michigan Estate Planners, and the Chartered Life Underwriters. He was an elder and deacon in 3 churches and was a member of Lamont Community Church. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean; children: Amber Mustard of Nashville, TN, Eric (Amy) Mustard of Maple City, MI, Suzanne (Scott) Cavey of Berthoud, CO; brother, Dallas Mustard of Muskegon, MI; 10 grandchildren; and 3 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robin Mustard. Visitation will be held Monday, April 22, 2019 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Lamont Community Church, 14000 48th Ave., Coopersville, MI 49404.
