I am so sorry that I just learned of Vern's passing. What a great man he was and so blessed with a wonderful family. I truly enjoyed talking with Vern last September as he allowed me to place a political sign in his yard. He was upbeat and inspirational despite his long battle with illness. He will be missed greatly. Cindy
I'm so sorry to the Plichta family for your loss. I worked with Vern at Wal Mart and he truely was a wonderful man. He was the sweetest person and he will be greatly missed.

We are so sorry to hear about your Dad.
Found this poem:
Praying that youll sense God's presence
In this time of grief
And feel God's love surrounding you
And know His inner peace
For God cares so much you And wipes each tear you cry
You never need to feel alone
For He'll never leave your side.....
We are keeping You and your family in
our prayers.
I miss talking to you..
Take care

I am so sorry I was not able to attend the service for Vern- my younger son had their Christmas get- together today and his daughter came from Indiana. I remember Vern so well from grade school. He was always polite and an excellent student. He was so full of life and excited about living. I'm glad I was able to see him at the Beach School reunion. My mother always commended " Those Plichta kids are the best- you never hear anything bad about them. I remember all of you in my prayers as you grieve the loss of Vern. Margaret Micka Stidham
We are sorry for your loss. You were great neighbors. I still remember shooting baskets at your house and Vern giving me pointers. He was a genuine, good person, and will be missed.
I worked with Vern at Wal-Mart for 2 summers in the Garden Center. He was so much fun to work with. We had wonderful conversations and became quick friends. He had so many stories to tell, was a great listener and a man who proudly served his country and loved his family. When I left Wal-Mart to finish college,I missed his friendship and great bear hugs. I always made sure to check for Vern when I came to the store. May this wonderful man rest in peace. Heart felt sympathy to his family as they mourn the passing of a great man.
Dear Mrs. Plichta and boys,
Please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of your husband and Father. You all hold such a special place in my heart as you were a second family to me way back when for so many years. I can't be there tomorrow, but my thoughts and prayers will be with you. Wonderful memories can give you strength when you feel sad or alone. I have so many wonderful memories of Mr. Plichta as a loving Dad with a great family and also as a pretty darn good boss at the Bowl. Hugs to you and your families.
