Vernon W. Pouch's Obituary
Mr. Vernon W. Pouch, age 61 passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010 following a brief illness. Vern was born in Cordova, Alaska on January 22, 1949 to Vernon D. and Jean (Glasen) Pouch. The family moved to Fruitport when Vern was 2 years old and was a 1967 graduate of Fruitport High School. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1967 to 1971. Prior to retiring in 2003 Vernon was, night store director at the Meijer Store in N. Muskegon. On August 29, 1970 he married the former Sue A. Woolf at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake and she survives him along with: their three children, Rachael (Chuck) Anderson of Holton, Nicholas Pouch of Washington St. and Vernon V. Pouch of Missouri; parents, Vernon D. and Jean Pouch of Fruitport; three brothers, Ronald (Terri) Pouch, Frank Pouch and Nicholas Pouch all of Fruitport; sister, Evelyn (Robert) Thompson of Belding and 10 grandchildren. A Memorial Mass to celebrate Vern’s life will be held at: St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Brunswick, 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 29, 2010, Fr. Roc Gerald Majella presiding. Following the Mass, there will be a celebration of life party at his daughter's home in Holton beginning at 1 P.M. until ???
