Verol Crain's Obituary
Mr. Verol Crain, age 86, passed away, Wednesday, April 15, 2009 in Muskegon. He was born June 5, 1922 in Muskegon to Otis and Allabelle (Stilies) Crain and has lived in the area all of his life. Mr. Crain was a truck driver for Holland Motors for 40 years and served his country in the US Army in WWII. He was a life member of the Don Rea VFW post 8846 and won several awards as a transportation volunteer for veterans. On August 18, 1946 he married Donna Knowles in Muskegon and she survives him along with 3 children; Norma (Larry) Hunt of Belmont, MI, Orville V. (Marty) Crain and Gary (Mary) Crain of Muskegon and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He is also survived by 1 sister, Fern Brasspenning, and his life long friends Lefty and Wendy Backer. He was preceded in death by 2 children, Roger and Reba.
