I grew up in Fortenbacher Subdivision with a number of other neighborhood kids. Mr Posvistak would always humor us by letting us see the pigeons and giving us their extra feathers to play Indians in the woods. He was such a nice man. Dear friends,we are so sorry for your loss. Walt was a dear friend for so many years. What fun we had with your family,camping, playing games and even blowing my knee out playing badmitten. The card games that we played as adults and the meetings we had on Linda Street will never be forgotten. Your parents were such good friends to our family that it is hard to belive that they are now both gone. It will be hard turning on Linda Street to know that they are no longer in thae house4 that we used to visit. Truly the end of an era. I don't know if you (Wally Jr) remember me, but we played as children while our fathers talked "piegon" Your dad was such a great help to us when my dad was batteling cancer and could no longer care for his birds. After my dad, Glenn Lear, passed in 99, your dad came out to the house and handled all of the bird movement. He was such a kind man. It touched me to see what a long life he was blessed with and sad to see that your mother passed in 2006. I recall a visit to Mr. Posvistak's home with my high school friend, Scott Posvistak. We had quail-at 16, I did not know what that was-but I was facinated with the pigeons, then I learned what I had eaten! A fond memory! I think we had really stopped over to see his cousin's car, though-it was a long time ago!
