I'm so sorry to hear about Wally even though it's been about 2 months now. Wally was a great guy to have as a friend. He had a tough guy appearance when I knew of him back in the day (we knew of him at Reeths-Puffer). But once you got to know him and I really had that chance because of our sailing experiences on the Macushla, you found out he had a gentle soul. He was so fun loving!!
Wally was very special to me and my children. His mom and Wally gave us our first lab puppy....Thank you Wally for being a such a small part of my life. In the struggles you had in life you made it with a beautiful wife and children.....Sincerely Diana

Pleae accept my condolences in the passing of Wally. I grew up with Wally in NM. He was alot of fun and was always kind to me. Some years ago I bumped into Wally in Spring Lake, which is where I live also, and reconnected. Over the past 10 years or so, Wally and I crossed paths many times at the local stores, gas stations etc. Other times I'd ride past his house and he'd be in the yard so we'd say hello. Wally always had a smile and a good word to say to me. When I worked at Reid Supply, Wally would always tell one of our salesmen to tell me Hi from his shop.
Wally had a big heart.

Memories of you getting married and later when Stephanie and Rebecca were born. Wally was a character! He was a good husband to Ruth and a good dad to his children..each and every one of them. He will be missed but always remembered. God bless you all throughout the grief process.
To a teenager Wally was a scary man. But you showed him respect he was a great guy who only wanted the best for his family and friends. Thank you Wally for showing me the right path and for being someone to look up to. You always invited me into your house even for "family" dinners. You were even a friend to my kids. I hope one day that we'll hangout and watch football again.

Wally was such an incredible man! He so LOVED life and all the good things in it: family, his 4 children, his 5 grandchildren, gardening, good food, fishing, hunting. We will all miss his great bear hugs, his great smile, his wonderful laugh, but most of all we will miss him and every thing that was Wally!
