Walter "Wally" R. Nash's Obituary
Mr. Walter R. “Wally” Nash, age 58, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013 at the Cleveland Clinic of complications following heart surgery. He was born April 30, 1955 in Muskegon to Walter G. and Margaret (Lomasney) Nash; and has resided in Spring Lake the last 29 years. Wally has been employed at Omni Die & Engineering as a Tool and Die Maker for 26 years. He had many interests, including fishing, hunting, cooking, canning, gardening, boating, camping, sailing, golfing and motorcycles; however foremost were his family, music and providing useless trivia to all! On June 21, 1985 Wally married the former Ruth Presley Morgan and she survives him along with his children and grandchildren , Tracy Morgan and her children Jude and Allie; Travis (Misty) Morgan and their children, Reese and Avery; Rebecca Nash and her son, Ayden and by Stephanie Nash; 3 sisters, Kathleen (William) Sapp, Patricia (Vincent) Williams and Mary (Jim) Mosti; 2 brothers-in-law, Woody Presley and Lee Presley; several nieces and nephews, and by his special dog, Charlie. Wally was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lois McPherson; grandparents and mother-in-law, Judy Presley. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, October 19, 2013 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231-798-1100) with Pastor Kay Bush officiating. VISITATION with Wally’s family will be 5-8PM Friday. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery, Grand Haven. MEMORIAL GIFTS to Michigan Commerce Bank for the benefit of Walter Nash will be appreciated.
