There are no words great enough to express the love and appreciation I hold for Wayne and Sharon. The years I spent at Lakeside Baptist Church were some of the best memories of my life and I owe it to Wayne and Sharon. Singing in the choir while Wayne was director, the wonderful dinners Wayne & Sharon would host, and most importantly the knowledge I gained from Wayne as he taught God’s Word in class. There is so much more but these were on the top. Wayne was such a wonderful example of what God looks for in a servant. I thank my Heavenly Father for allowing me to know and learn from this great man, Wayne Bomgaars. Wayne is in Heaven now and pray God will comfort and bless Sharon and the children now and forevermore.
"How Great Thou Art" was a favorite memory of Wayne directing music at Lakeside Baptist Church. Wayne gave his all when singing all the great hymns. Singing with him was a blessing! There are many musical moments that I cherish and also many times in the Bomgarrs home where Wayne and Sharon were perfect cooks and hosts! What many talents he had as he faithfully served his Lord and Savior who he loved. Now in Heaven, what a glorious thought! I lived and worked at BLBC for seven wonderful years. I'll always remember Wayne's kindness, gentleness, humility, and wit. My favorite memories are of when he'd stand to lead us in "Great is thy Faithfulness" at the end of every annual meeting.
