Weitse was a quiet, gentle, and Godly man who served God and others. He was a great example of a servant.
So grateful for the faithful example of Mr. Wheeler. Growing up at Calvary, he was the guy who quietly and consistently got things done. His family was a blessing, from Ellen, by second grade SS teacher, to Dave and Gary's friendship and kindness. I am so sorry for you loss, but grateful for Weitse's place in my life and memory.
Having grown up at Calvary and as a alumni of Calvary school, I have always admired Mr. Wheeler's quiet strength and servant's heart. He was willing to do anything for the church and school.
I recall being at Calvary Baptist Academy, early in the new school year, he'd always come by the class rooms and adjust the desk seat heights for students. He loosened up the bolts and held the seat up as he gripped the bar that slid down into the pedestal. I remember thinking how our weight must have pinched his skin. He had such strong hands!
I'll always remember him as the quintessential servant - someone who had great influence by always putting others first.
Mr.Wheeler was CALVARY when it was down by hackley hospital. He did everything at that church he was an awesome example of one who loved and served GOD with enthusiasm he will meet his son David in glory.
