Bud was a very good friend in the 50's He was quite a guy !!
We are so sorry to hear of Bud"s passing. He was such a good man and fun to be with. We remember some great lunches together with he and Don as they put the addition to our home several years ago. Nobody could paint like Bud. He painted our living room more than once, complete with book cases, mantlepiece and many beams...no easy task! Please accept our sincere sympathy.

I will remember forever the fun times had at my Mom's place in Grand Rapids while Uncle Bud lived there. We played Scrabble and he was tough as nails. His wry wit and ability to laugh at tragedy was impressive and wonderful. He wrestled with his demons, sure. We all do. Yet he was very supportive of my career as a musician, and I felt his deep love and affection for my Mom - which was truly heartfelt and moving. There was a bright, intelligent spirit underneath the crusty old dog's veneer - he was a poet, and I love him.
