Willene Belle Wilkins' Obituary
Mrs. Willene Belle Wilkins, age 86, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Poppen Residence. She was born on March 1, 1929 in Muskegon to Philip and Evelyn (Swenor) Carter and resided in the area her entire life. Willene enjoyed her flower garden and watching birds. She also volunteered at Love, Inc. in Muskegon. On August 20, 1947, she married Eugene “Gene” Wilkins and they spent 56 years together prior to Gene preceding her in death on May 26, 2004. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Pamela Gene (Marcus) Syriac of Muskegon and Steven William (Roxanne) Wilkins of Hamilton, MI; 3 grandchildren, Stephanie (Paul) Sischo and their children, Isaak and Andrew, Andrew (Jessica) Wilkins and Serena Syriac; step-grandchildren, Jonathan (Kiel) Patmos and their children, Marisa and Taylor, Rachel Patmos, and Nathan (Jennifer) Patmos and their children, Cody, Keagan, Camden, Christina and Clayton; along with her sister, Yvonne “Perky” Lee of Muskegon. Willene was also preceded in death by her twin sons, Daniel and Dennis Wilkins. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 3PM Saturday, January 9 at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231) 759-8565 with Pastor Craig Cramblet officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 2-3PM. Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery.
