Andrea and Sarah, I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. I worked with your dad for many years at GTE. He trained me for my last job. I loved sitting in his office most mornings solving the world's problems. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family during this difficult time.

Bill was a good friend. We met in Jr. High School in Spring Lake Michigan. when his family moved to Spring Lake. He, Harold Merz and I always did things together, like Football, Basketball games and just riding around Grand Haven. After teaching math at S.L. school I suggested he apply at GTE in Muskegon, where I worked. He did, was hired and retired there. It changed to Verizon, but bill enjoyed making many friends there.

So sorry for your loss during this pandemic. Bill was a wonderful person who loved each of you and was proud of he people that you have become. I always enjoyed talking with him, he was happy to share what his girls and grand kids were doing. Treasure the good memories that you have of your times together. I admired the way he always remembered your mom on her birthday, their anniversary and at Christmas by the floral donations in her name. The anniversary ones were even the flower choices she made for their wedding. What a sweet man!!

Bill Bolthouse was such a kind, caring man. He treated me like I was part of the family when I was around during holidays and even asked me to call him Grandpa Bill. I’m so sad that he is gone, but I hope he has found peace by reuniting with his wife. Sending love and best wishes to the family!
I don't think Uncle Bill ever knew the impact he had on my life and some of my adult choices. My most favorite memory is sitting near the piano at Gramma and Papa Behm's house during a family gathering and he would be helping me with Algebra. My very own private tutor. And every time I tutored a student or worked on Algebra, he was sitting on my shoulder watching over me. Andrea, Sarah and the rest of the family, our tears will not wash away the memories we have but maybe the pain and grief we feel will be drowned.
