Mr. William F. “Bill” Stone, age 96, passed away Monday, March 19, 2018 at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. He was born on July 4, 1921 in Elbridge Twp, to Neil and Mary (Negake) Stone, and was a lifelong resident of the area. Read Obituary

As a student at Roosevelt Elementary I passed Mr.Stone's house many times on my way home from school. When he was working in his yard he always had a few kind, cordial, and often wise words for me. Now, some 60 years later, I still remember the goodness and warmth of this decent human being.
