William Joseph Montambo's Obituary
William Joseph Montambo age 85, of Ravenna, Michigan died Friday, October 12, 2012 at his home.
Bill was born on September 9, 1927 in Stambaugh City, Michigan to the late Earl and Viola (Green) Montambo. He served in the United States Army 1945 to 1947. He married Alberta (Higbee) Montambo on January 17, 1959 in Muskegon, MI.
He is survived by: 2 Sons: William (Pam) Montambo of Shelby and Tim Montambo of Ravenna. 1 Daughter: Joni (Robert) Waller of Ravenna. 9 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. 1 Sister: Janet Gebolys of Muskegon. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by: parents, wife Alberta, 1 Grandson: Keith Montambo, 1 Sister: Lorraine and 2 Brothers: Jack and Ellsworth.
Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be prayed on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at St. Catherines Catholic Church at 10:00am with Father Fred Brucker celebrant. Burial will be in St. Catherines Catholic Cemetery.
The family will be at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna on Monday, October 15, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00pm to receive friends. The Rosary will be prayed at 8:00pm.
