Mr. William "Bill" Rake's Obituary
Mr. William “Bill” Rake, 74, passed away early Saturday morning, September 27, at his home. He was born March 2, 1940 to Leroy and Ruth (Richards) Rake in Muskegon, and moved to the White Cloud area in 1999. Bill worked for Dresser Industries and Kelly Sales before retiring in 2002, and was a member of the Fruitport Eagles. He enjoyed driving race cars, hunting and fishing. On May 26, 1957 Bill married Sandra Kay Colvin in Jeffersville, IN, and she survives him along with 4 children, Rita (Robert) Sikkenga, Tammy (Jeffrey) Peterson, Randy (Anna) Rake, Dean (Amy) Rake, all of Muskegon; 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Ruth Eek of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers, LeRoy and Richard Rake. The funeral service for Bill will held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 30, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Pastor Will Hooper officiating. Burial will take place at Egelston Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at church.
