BIll, I was thinking about you the other day. Riding to Reserves together and going to Pentwater and spending time with you at the cottage. We had some good times working together at Herman Chevrolet. Chasing Trains with our sons, Scott and Mike,. I remember vividly riding in the Caboose behind that Steam Locomotive, we sure had some good times.

I remember when Bill worked on the railroad at the Grand Trunk ferry docks in Muskegon in the late 50’s. I hung out with Bill and his brothers at their Dad’s Old Dutch service station in the Heights. We always affectionately called it it Merton’s Old Crutch. Bill was one of my heroes and one of the nicest guys I ever knew. Rest In Peace Bill.

I feel honored to have received my life long nickname from your dad... Dee Dee. Your whole family has been a part of mine for as long as I can remember... I cant help but think that tonight your dad, your mom and my mom are playing that card game Pounce together.... I never knew really which one of your parents was the true racer in the family, although I rode with your mom a few times and I think it was a tie. lol I am so sorry for your loss of this amazing father of yours. He and all of you will forever be in my heart... I send my love to each of you.. I am always here... LOVE ALWAYS, Dee Dee
