William F. "Bill" Tierman's Obituary
William F. Tierman, age 84, passed away Tuesday morning, March 17, 2015. He was born April 10, 1930 in Muskegon to Peter and Angeline (Bushman) Tierman. Bill was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the VFW Post #3195. He worked for Franklin Press in Grand Haven for 30 years before retiring in 1995. Bill was a member of Hope Reformed Church. On July 15, 1967 he married Sally J. (Petroskey) McPherson in Muskegon and she preceded him in death on June 28, 2008. SURVIVORS include his sister, Shirley Green of Muskegon; 2 sisters-in-law, Joane and Diane; step-son, Michael McPherson of Florida; many nieces and nephews; good friend, Ted; and caregiver, Jenny. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Joe Green. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:30 PM Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Hope Reformed Church with Rev. Steven Hyma officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank (864 W. River Dr. NW, Comstock Park, MI 49321).
