Rev. Willie C. Crowell's Obituary
Rev. Willie C. Crowell, age 70, went home to his Lord on Saturday, April 29, 2023 while at the University Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. He was born July 4, 1952 in Hattiesburg, MS to Crawford Crowell, Sr. and Roberta (Ellis) Crowell. He was a veteran of the United States Army. On May 16, 2010, he married Evelyn J. Webb in Muskegon. He was formerly the Associate Minister for Greater Harvest Missionary Baptist Church and currently the Associate Minister for Beulah Missionary Baptist Church. He especially enjoyed playing on the Northway Lanes Bowling League and had won numerous awards, trophies and a ring. He is survived by his loving wife, Minister Evelyn J. Crowell; his children, Shantoria McDaniel, Calvin Webb, Tiffany Kirk, Donald Walker; 2 generations of grandchildren including his favorite great-grandson, Kaine Williams; his mother-in-law, Erva Jean Willis; 6 sisters, Charlene Burr, Eleanor Hayes, Alma Mitchell, Helen Hopkins, Sherry Knight, Pamela Crowell; Godsons Antonio Lewis and Keavelin Brown; special nephew, Eliot Slaghuis; Goddaughter, Zaria Logan; Godsister, Mae Mitchell; and lifelong friend, Jeffery Haskins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Crawford and Roberta Crowell, Sr.; grandson, Calvin Webb; and 2 brothers, Jimmie D. Crowell and Crawford Crowell, Jr. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, May 8, 2023 at Beulah Missionary Baptist Church, 2601 Manz Street, Muskegon, MI 49444 with Rev. James M. Williams, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 5-7 PM and a family hour will be Monday 10-11 AM, prior to the service.
